Stretch 1600mm
Stretch 1600mm
STL file set for this 3D printed airframe. Addition parts are required to finish the airframe available from various suppliers, material list included.
The Stretch is based on the SoarKraft Roughgen and Pika designs and builds the same way, includes the V-Tail as standard. The Stretch is a Pika stretched: longer fuse, higher aspect wing and tail. It uses a little more carbon support material, but in just the right places for a stiff and rugged airframe. Can be printed with PLA, PETG, Light Weight foaming PLA (Colorfabb/E-Sun), or Low Density PLA (Polymaker PLA-LW).
- wingspan - 63 in (1600mm)
- wing area - 280.3 sq.in. (1808 cm^2)
- RTF weight - 15-30oz (425-870g)
The wing is a new design using a 8mm square spar and is designed to be built as a two piece wing. Both solid and square tube pultruded carbon are available. Additional 6x1 and 4x1 are used for added stiffness along the high aspect ratio span. More carbon is required to build this airframe, but tried to wisely uses lengths so the left over carbon strip from the wing is enough to build the larger V-tail.
Designed to be a two piece wing, removable nose cone and removable tail fins if desired.
The V-Tail can be built with 1 or 2 servos and the wing requires 4 servos and has inboard flaps. Compatible with the power pod option available separately.
